Tucker Rayburn is returning for his third season with the Lighting after missing the summer 2019 season. He also brings four years of college baseball experience to the table.
In his two summers in Leesburg from 2017-18, he hit a trio of home runs, drove in 26 runs, and hit .231 in 62 appearances. During the same time span with the Tallahassee Community College Eagles, he hit a cool .292 with four home runs, 64 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 102 games.
After transfering to Florida A&M for the 2019 campaign his production at the plate continued. In his first year with the Rattlers, he slashed an impressive .281/.394/.438 while totaling 19 extra-base hits and 32 RBI in 61 games.
In the COVID-19 2020 season, he reached base at a .348 clip in 15 appearances.
