Joseph “JD” Stubbs joins the Leesburg Lightning for his first season in the FCSL. He will play alongside his younger brother, Drew.

JD, who hails from Fort Pierce, Fla., enjoyed a productive season as a pinch-hitter for Georgia Gwinnett College. Stubbs hit .275 off the bench for the Grizzlies, driving in an impressive 16 runs in just 51 at-bats. Stubbs displayed his ability to earn a free bag as well, drawing 14 walks.

Before redshirting the 2020 campaign, Stubbs spent the 2019 season at Eastern Florida State College. As a Trojan, Stubbs his .232, while collecting 27 runs and drawing 29 walks through 48 games.
