Evan Waterbor is a left-handed pitcher who will play his second season in Leesburg. Waterbor spent the 2020 summer with the Leesburg Storm, holding a 5.63 ERA through three appearances.

Waterbor, who’s from Trinity, Fla., was a medical redshirt for the Florida Atlantic University Owls in 2021. The last time he was on the diamond for the Owls, it was during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season. He appeared in four games and struck out four.

Before transferring to FAU, Waterbor was a member of the St. John’s River State pitching staff. Waterbor impressed, with 23 strikeouts in just 21.1 innings en route to a 2.53 ERA. As a prospect, his fast ball topped out at 88 mph.
